Maori traditional barbecue, food is cook digging a hole and creating an earth oven.
Here Che, and his brothers dig out the hangui, after 4/5 hs of cooking.
There is laid out: fish, lamb, pork, chicken, potatoes, sweet potatoes and cabbage (with butter and pepper).
6 legs of lamb, 4 massive pork shoulders, 10 chooks, 3 snapper, box of corn, 30 kg of vegies and all gone. I need a nap just thinking about it again.
Almost forgot to mention the mild and hot Chimichurry that Kat prepared for the banquet!
Great family tradition, from our New Zealanders friends.
Senor BBQ, sharing the love for traditional outdoor cooking.
